Job Description - Assistant Manager, Transformation Office

You will support the Growth, Innovation and Technology (GRIT) Committee in the driving and management of transformation, technology and innovation projects and initiatives that are of value to patients, staff and organization.  Together with the HOD, you will champion a culture of continuous improvement and nurture organizational understanding, appetite and capacity to explore and adopt new ideas, technology and innovation. 

A little about you and what we seek to accomplish together:

Project Management of Technology/Innovation Initiatives 

  • Support the take-up of digital/innovative solutions to transform care delivery, work processes and work environment at Ren Ci.
  • Assist stakeholders with the planning and implementation of pilots and initiatives as well as to eventually demonstrate proof of concept (POC) and proof of value (POV).
  • Track overall implementation progress with a view to capture improvements made to care delivery, work processes and work environment.
  • Support stakeholders in the monitoring and evaluating of project outcomes.
  • Oversee the administration and governance of project grants/funds.
  • Work closely with external parties such as government agencies, vendors, industry partners and institutes of higher learning to ensure success of pilots and initiatives.

Champion Ren Ci’s Technology and Innovation Roadmap

  • Broaden Ren Ci’s healthcare transformation horizon by building knowledge and resource network, including:
  • Building Ren Ci’s knowledge repository through active sharing of technology and innovation-related news, platforms or conferences
  • Liaising with industry partners, institutes of higher learning and vendors to expand the organization’s professional and resource networks
  • Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies within the healthcare and community care space
  • Sourcing for funding that Ren Ci can potentially tap on
  • Keeping up-to-date on related training programmes that may be suitable for key stakeholders and project teams
  • Nurture organizational appetite and capacity to explore and adopt new ideas, technology and innovation. 
  • Identify opportunities to bridge internal stakeholder needs and external offerings/solutions; act as central coordinator to facilitate discussion and follow up activities.
  • Identify opportunities to highlight and feature pilots and projects internally and externally to showcase achievements.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and nurture organizational understanding, appetite and capacity to explore and adopt new ideas, technology and innovation. 

Secretariat Support

  • Work with stakeholders to draft funding papers (both internal as well as external govt agencies) and poster submissions for competitions etc.
  • Provide secretariat support for key technology and innovation meetings.

What you might need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with preferably 3-5 years of experience in healthcare operations and/or transformation work.
  • Experience in healthcare management, project management and stakeholder management preferred.
  • Knowledge and use of process improvement tools such as Lean, Six sigma, Agile Management, Scrum, Design Thinking etc would be advantageous.
  • Able to work autonomously and engage relevant stakeholders independently to bring about effective collaboration and project implementation.
  • Strong analytical mind, ability to see different perspectives, synthesize and harmonize needs, to facilitate high impact projects.
  • Strong project management skills including good communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
