Salary Range: SGD $3,000 – SGD $4,200 (See my HR note below before setting this)
We are a growing, hands-on Singapore Construction SME looking for a driven Assistant Project Engineer to join our site operations team. Working directly under the Project Manager, you will serve as the technical bridge between client specifications, site execution, and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent launchpad for an engineer looking to gain master-level experience in full-cycle Singapore project execution.
Site Execution: Assist the Project Manager in supervising daily site operations, ensuring structural and architectural works adhere strictly to approved drawings and the master project schedule.
Technical Coordination: Review tender/construction drawings, identify technical discrepancies early, and prepare site-specific Method Statements.
Safety & QA/QC: Conduct daily quality inspections; work alongside the Site Safety Supervisor to enforce strict Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards and coordinate Permit-to-Work (PTW) submissions.
Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate logistics, site access, and technical handovers with sub-contractors, Resident Engineers (RE), Resident Technical Officers (RTO), and material suppliers.
Project Administration: Assist in quantifying site work done for progress claims, tracking Variation Orders (VO), and compiling handover documentation (e.g., O&M manuals, as-built drawings).
Education: Degree or Diploma in Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or a related built-environment discipline.
Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant site experience in Singapore. (Fresh graduates with a strong work ethic and willingness to spend 70% of their time on-site are highly encouraged to apply).
Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with BIM / Revit is a strong advantage.
Certifications: Holding a valid Supervise Construction Work for WSH certificate (formerly known as BCSS) is highly advantageous.
Attributes: Strong problem-solving mindset, clear communicator, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-national, multi-lingual site workforce.
