Assistant Relationship Manager (Corporate Banking, Korean Desk)

Your new company

My client, a leading Western Bank, is currently searching for an Assistant Relationship Manager (Corporate Banking) to join their Singapore office. You will need to be able to speak the KOREAN LANGUAGE .

Your new role

Your new role will be to support the Corporate Banking team in delivering high-quality credit, execution, and client support. The role combines analytical responsibilities with corporate banking support, ensuring compliance with internal policies, credit standards, and regulatory requirements.

Credit Analysis & Execution Support

• Assist in preparing credit proposals, including financial analysis and risk assessment
• Draft supporting documents such as 1035 memos, annual reviews, and renewals
• Support drafting of offer letters and loan documentation, coordinating with stakeholders
• Monitor compliance with credit conditions and portfolio requirements

Origination Support

• Conduct industry and company research for origination and client pitches
• Prepare pitch books, meeting materials, and market updates
• Support client onboarding and KYC reviews
  
  

Portfolio Monitoring

• Track client performance and assess ongoing financial/industry developments
• Identify early-warning indicators and escalate issues to senior team members
• Risk, Compliance & Conduct
• Apply AML, KYC, and risk management policies in daily work
• Ensure adherence to credit policies, approval standards, and regulatory guidelines

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Ability to speak and read the Korean language is a MUST
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• Understanding of corporate financial statements and credit fundamentals
• Strong communication and multi-stakeholder coordination skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  
  

Preferred qualities

• Knowledge of Singapore/APAC markets and banking products (loans, FX, trade, DCM)
• Experience in corporate banking, credit analysis, or Big 4 advisory

Working Conditions

• Fast-paced, deal-driven environment with tight timelines. Occasional non-standard hours may be required to coordinate with global teams.
