Job Description - Assistant Vice President, Counterparty Credit Risk, Risk Management Dept - SMBC

Counterparty Credit Risk

Responsibilities :

Support implementation and operation of 2LOD Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) and control frameworks for SMBC APAC, in partnership with the Credit Department, including design and enhancement of CCR frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Assess CCR related risks and monitor CCR Portfolio for SMBC APAC, in conjunction with Credit Department to ensure CCR risks remain within risk appetite. Oversee tracking and timely actions relating to the CCR portfolio and support in regulatory aspects of CCR Portfolio.
Supporting any new risk initiatives within Risk Management in APAC and organizing discussions with various stakeholders in our bank including head office in Tokyo.
Support in preparing and presenting communication to senior management, and close collaboration with various stakeholders including Front Office, Treasury, Credit, Legal , Compliance, Operations etc.

Requirements :

Degree or equivalent with experience in Financial Institution credit risk
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Counterparty Credit Risk for a Financial Institution.
Understanding of CCR related business including products, risks (covering stress testing and wrong way risk) as well as documentation.
Good communication, interpersonal skills and fluent in written and spoken English
Team player and strong sense of ownership of outcomes
Meticulous, with an eye for details
Able to work under tight timelines and comfortable with cross-border interactions
