Full-time role based in Singapore (with occasional travel)

About Asia Philanthropy Circle
Asia Philanthropy Circle (APC) is a community of philanthropists who believe Asia’s toughest challenges are best solved together.

Founded in 2015 by philanthropists, for philanthropists, APC today brings together over 60 members across 13 markets who share a commitment to building a more just and sustainable Asia through collaborative philanthropy.

APC is a trusted peer space: a place to share openly, learn across contexts, and build joint initiatives that no single actor could achieve alone. Its diverse community spans generations, geographies, and interests—united by a belief in the power of collective action.

Members contribute across financial, knowledge, time, and human capital—supporting social innovation for the public good, strengthening Asia’s philanthropy ecosystem, and championing collaborative responses to systemic challenges. APC is a registered charity headquartered in Singapore, with roots across Asia.

About the Role

We are looking for a driven, and organized Associate to join our team. This is a key delivery role—you will own the day-to-day operations of APC’s climate philanthropy programme.

You'll work closely with the Climate Director and assist in donor engagement, research, event coordination, and support the team to scale funding for climate and resilience initiatives. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, small-team environment and wants to grow their skills across the full spectrum of climate and philanthropy work. We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and contributing to the philanthropy and social impact sector in Asia, and highly capable in multi-tasking, connecting the dots, and operating flexibly across ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on climate funding landscapes, including philanthropy trends
  • Develop materials for membership-related work, including for our membership portal, toolkits, membership mapping, and members’ analysis
  • Support donor communications: Draft proposals, impact reports, and briefing notes for philanthropists and partners.
  • Coordinate workshops, convenings, and funder meetings (virtual/in-person).
  • Support team on APC events and projects, which will cover event management, administration and project coordination functions.
  • Track grants and partnerships, synthesizing data on outcomes in climate and nature.
  • Collaborate on strategic planning, integrating sector knowledge and cross-sector alliances.
  • Write articles/ blogs for our newsletter
  • Other tasks as assigned

Who We’re Looking For

1. Experience and Qualifications

  • 2-4 years in climate philanthropy, environmental NGOs, or related fields (Southeast Asia focus preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in environment, climate change or a related field—or equivalent working experience

2.  Skills

·      Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English. Additional Asian languages or regional experience, especially in Southeast Asia, is an advantage.

·      Candidate should be people-oriented and keen to interact with our members, collaborate with other team members, and external stakeholders. A prior event organizing experience is a plus.

·      Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

·      Ability to be flexible in evolving environment, adaptable in start-up conditions, and thrive in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

·      A learning mindset, someone who takes initiative and has a bias for action.

·      Previous experience of in-country climate and environment contexts in at least one of the countries Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and/or Vietnam is a plus

·      Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office (good PowerPoint skills) and MailChimp

·      Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a small and fast-paced, cross-functional team

·      Ability to travel regionally

3. About You:

·       Independent, resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity

·       Knowledgeable about regional affairs and the philanthropy and social impact ecosystem in Asia—or with a strong desire to learn—and able to apply the context and strategic judgment to content

·       Able to brief and manage external partners effectively (e.g. NGOs, research partners)

·       Detail-oriented, without losing sight of strategic intent and larger objectives

·       Genuinely interested in philanthropy, civil society, human development, or the social impact sector, with a desire for meaningful, impactful work

Why Work with Us?

What We Offer:

·      A front-row seat to Asia’s philanthropy ecosystem—the opportunity to work with leading philanthropists, family offices, and foundations across the region and globally

·      A lean, collaborative team where your work and voice have direct, visible, and meaningful impact

·       Opportunities to grow across climate portfolio in a high-trust environment

·      Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
