About the role
The purpose of this role, Associate Director Commercial Finance and Planning, Emerging Markets is to partner with the business to drive the delivery of the Emerging markets business unit’s financial commitments. This takes place across a number of complex regions, markets and channels and involves providing effective, timely and fact-based analysis to influence and inform decision making.
Business Partnering:
Develop, implement and drive strategies to deliver the financial objectives of the business
Drive critical assessment of investments made with customers and brands
Work closely with the sales team and external distributors and customers to drive top line growth for the EM business
Lead the commercial finance team to drive a culture of value add analysis, constructive challenge and valued business partnering with stakeholders
Sit across the Sales, Marketing and Supply functions to ensure a holistic lens on performance and potential issues maintained
Manage resource allocations across Sales, Marketing and Demand Planning teams to ensure optimal return
Implement and lead a fact driven return on investment culture across the business unit
Budgeting and Forecasting (in conjunction with the Commercial Strategy team & FP&A team):
Ownership of the team’s regular financial planning commitments
Lead the Integrated Business Planning process and own the risks and opportunities process, ensuring appropriate plans are formulated and action assigned
Ensure Integrated Business Plan core assumptions are robust, fact based and aligned to business strategy
Own the budget and Jan FI process ensuring all timelines and deliverables are met to a high quality standard and with stakeholder alignment
Lead the formulation of long term plans (GVP, 5YP) for the business unit ensuring aligned to strategy
Reporting:
Ensure financial reporting is robust and timely
Be the champion of TWE policies, controls and processes, including ensuring that these are implemented consistently and effectively
Demand Planning:
Other:
Ad hoc analysis and project based work as required
Other duties from time to time
Coaching and developing others to achieve their best
About you
A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
10+ years experience in senior finance roles
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the business
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills
Effective planning and project management skills
Strong relationship building and communication skills
Solutions minded, displaying a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude
Ability to act as an agent of change, constantly driving profitability
Excellent attention to detail, strong commercial acumen
Ability to multi-task, be highly driven and an achievements-focused performer
Ability to lead and manage a high performing team
