Disputes

We advise on complex commercial litigation, including class actions, administrative proceedings, commercial and investment arbitrations, as well as high-profile white-collar defense, government and internal investigations, and criminal and regulatory proceedings. We are a global team with experience in state, national, federal and international courts, arbitral tribunals, and enforcement agencies throughout the world. Our clients are financial institutions, multinational private and state-owned entities, private equity firms, funds, and prominent individuals who turn to us to mitigate and manage business risk across virtually all sectors. We work seamlessly with our market-leading transactional and advisory colleagues to help clients realize their commercial objectives, whether through a win at trial or hearing, dismissal, or settlement.

We are seeking an exceptional Associate to join our esteemed Disputes group in Singapore. This role presents an unparalleled opportunity to work within a white-collar crime defense practice and engage with complex, cutting-edge legal challenges on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist on a diverse portfolio of US regulatory issues, including anti-corruption and bribery, AML, sanctions, as well as internal and government investigations.
• Provide strategic legal advice to our esteemed clientele, ensuring their needs are addressed with the utmost professionalism and efficiency.
• Draft, review, and manage the filing of legal documents, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
• Represent clients effectively in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, striving for outcomes that align with their best interests.
• Work collaboratively with partners and peers within the practice to foster a cohesive and innovative team environment.
• Contribute to the mentoring and professional development of junior associates, nurturing the next generation of legal talent.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of current legal practices and developments, and actively participate in knowledge sharing within the firm.

• 1 - 4 years' post-qualification experience in US regulatory issues and investigations matters, preferably with a reputable law firm.
• US qualification.
• A robust academic record in law, demonstrating a commitment to legal excellence.
• A proven ability to navigate and resolve complex legal issues with a strategic and analytical approach.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Resilience under pressure, with a proven track record of managing tight deadlines and delivering results.
• A collaborative mindset, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and the collective success of the practice.
