About the opportunity

A world-leading technology group is looking for a senior legal counsel to support its regional technology, cybersecurity and digital solutions business.

This role will suit a commercially strong lawyer who enjoys complex technology contracting, senior stakeholder management, and working in a fast-paced regional environment.

The role

The Associate General Counsel will provide legal leadership across commercial contracts, technology transactions, compliance and risk management for a regional business function.

Key responsibilities

Advise on complex commercial and technology contracts, including enterprise software, SaaS, licensing, IP and data privacy matters.

Support contractual risk management, claims, liabilities and ongoing commercial commitments.

Partner with business, legal, compliance and technology stakeholders to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.

Improve legal processes, templates and self-service tools to support business efficiency.

Support compliance with group policies, including anti-corruption, antitrust, trade compliance, export control and data privacy.

Requirements

Qualified lawyer with at least 10 years of legal experience.

Strong background in commercial contracts and technology transactions, ideally from both law firm and in-house environments.

Relevant exposure to software, SaaS, IP, cybersecurity, digital solutions and data privacy.

Prior experience operating in a senior legal role within a complex regional business.

Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
