Associate, Loan Operations

We are currently partnering with a leading international bank who have a strong presence in the Asia region, and are looking to hire an Associate, Loan Operations candidate.

This role will oversee end-to-end loan and banker’s guarantee (BG) operations across multiple product types. The role will ensure accurate processing, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency, combine hands-on operational oversight, risk management and stakeholder coordination

This role will be responsible for the following:

1. Oversee and execute end-to-end loan and BG processing (drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, issuances, amendments, fees) with accuracy and timeliness
2. Ensure proper transaction input and maintenance in core banking systems, along with complete documentation and record-keeping
3. Manage daily nostro funding, reconciliations, and coordination with Finance and other internal stakeholders
4. Act as the central liaison across Front Office, Risk, Compliance, IT, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
5. Prepare and review periodic reports for internal stakeholders, head office, clients, auditors, and regulators (e.g., MAS, HKMA)
6. Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and AML standards; implement strong risk and control frameworks

To be eligible for this role you will require:

1. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in loan operations
2. Strong knowledge of loan products (e.g., syndicated loans, bilateral loans, revolving/term facilities)
3. Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
