Job Description - Associate - M&A

Key Responsibilities



Transaction Execution

  • Support the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions from origination through to closing
  • Coordinate due diligence processes, including managing data rooms and third-party advisors
  • Assist in preparing transaction documentation such as teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations
  • Track deal progress, manage timelines, and ensure smooth execution across stakeholders


Financial Analysis & Valuation

  • Build and maintain financial models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, LBO where relevant)
  • Conduct valuation analyses and scenario modelling
  • Analyze company financials, business models, and KPIs-particularly for high-growth, tech-enabled businesses


Market Research & Industry Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential buyers/investors
  • Identify strategic and financial investors relevant to client mandates
  • Develop sector insights, particularly within technology, fintech, SaaS, and digital platforms


Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Support interactions with clients, investors, and counterparties
  • Assist in organizing and preparing materials for client meetings and investor outreach
  • Maintain strong attention to confidentiality and professionalism in all communications


Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with senior team members on pitch materials and deal origination efforts
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-building and execution best practices


Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in:
    • Investment banking (M&A or capital markets),
    • Corporate finance advisory, or
    • Private equity / transaction-related roles
  • Strong understanding of M&A processes and financial modelling
