Job Description - Associate Partner

Synpulse is looking for self-motivated candidates with a pronounced interest in financial services consulting and exceptional interpersonal skills to join our Singapore-based team as an Associate Partner.

As an Associate Partner, you will need to

  • Lead complex transformation initiatives across Private Banking, Wealth Management, and Investment Management domains.
  • Drive business and technology transformation programs involving core banking and wealth platforms, particularly Avaloq and related ecosystem platforms.
  • Play a key role in developing and expanding the business across Singapore, ASEAN, and broader APAC markets.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Shape and define target operating models, business architecture, process transformation, and scalable operating frameworks.
  • Lead workshops and strategic discussions to identify business opportunities, operational gaps, and transformation priorities across people, process, data, and technology.
  • Drive end-to-end product management and delivery governance, including backlog management, prioritisation, budgeting, risk management, dependency management, and stakeholder governance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, operations, and product teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery outcomes.
  • Provide leadership across multi-location and cross-functional teams spanning business analysis, product management, and transformation delivery.
  • Mentor consultants and delivery teams to strengthen domain expertise in Private Banking and Wealth Management transformation.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, proposals, client presentations, and strategic solutioning efforts.
  • Conduct market and industry trend analysis to identify opportunities relating to digital transformation, platform modernisation, operational excellence, and automation.
  • Support innovation initiatives involving fintech, digital platforms, and emerging banking technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university. Advanced qualifications such as MBA, PGDM, CFA, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
  • Minimum 18–20 years of experience across banking, wealth management, financial services, consulting, or large-scale transformation environments.
  • Strong domain expertise in Private Banking, Wealth Management, and Investment Management operations.
  • Deep functional knowledge across front, middle, and back-office processes including portfolio management, trading, settlements, reconciliation, corporate actions, payments, lending, and investment products.
  • Extensive experience in Avaloq platform transformation, product management, business architecture, or delivery leadership.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale transformation programs, product roadmaps, and strategic change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, product ownership, prioritisation frameworks, and transformation governance.
  • Experience defining and implementing Target Operating Models (TOM), business process transformation, and platform modernisation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Strong leadership experience managing regional and distributed teams across multiple geographies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to conceptualise and deliver practical business solutions.
  • Experience supporting proposal development, business growth initiatives, or strategic client engagements will be advantageous.
  • Professional certifications in Agile, Product Management, Digital Transformation, or Financial Services are advantageous.
