Associate / Senior Associate, Pathology - Energetic Workplace

The associate performs clerical/administrative duties in support of the activities of the Laboratory/Section.  He/She liaises with internal and external clients to ensure smooth information flow within the division and with relevant divisions/external clients. 

His/Her job duties include the following:

• Types and photocopies a variety of correspondences, reports and others within time frame defined.
• Maintains filing system in a systematic, neat and presentable manner on a daily basis.
• Maintains private files of the Head of Department/Head of Section (as required).
• Updates records/database on a daily basis.
• Maintains confidentiality of information.
• Carries out distribution according to distribution list as instructed.
• Attends to clerical duties pertaining to personnel, financial and revenue as required.
• Assists to maintain an adequate level of office and laboratory supplies necessary to carry on day-to-day activities of the Department/Sections.
• Performs data entry, as required, in the respective laboratories/sections. 
• Generates laboratory test reports. Sorts laboratory reports and ensures that they are distributed and sent to the correct wards, laboratories and clients.
• Attends to enquiries from internal staff and external clients immediately. Gives appropriate advice where knowledgeable; otherwise, directs clients to appropriate resource person immediately.
• Answers in-coming calls for the Department/Section/Laboratory and transfers calls appropriately.
• Assist in coordinating necessary set-up arrangements for regular meetings.  
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Section/Laboratory Supervisor or Head of Department/Section.

Job Requirement:

• Fresh Higher NITEC or NITEC or GCE ‘O’ or ‘N’ levels (possession of commercial certification will be an advantage). (Associate)
• And at least 4 years of relevant job experience. (Senior Associate)
• Knowledge of word processing and data entry skills will be an advantage.
