The Associate Solutions Engineer will support the design, development and implementation of service and solution offerings across the various IT domains under the umbrella of the organization’s business services.
This role is for a proactive, analytical thinker who thrives in technical and business environments and eager to learn from experienced seniors while contributing to projects in the real-world environment.
The Engineer will collaborate and engage with multiple parties ranging from internal stakeholders to external clients, partners, vendors to co-create solutions that are relevant with the needs of the market. Additional activities may include pre-sales support, and initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Technical Support & Solution Assistance
Assist in the process of designing and implementing build models of service solutions, under guidance from senior team members.
Support the development of solution components by contributing to conceptualization, implementation, testing and documentation.
Help translate business requirements into technical requirements with supervision.
Partner Coordination Support
Help maintain records and communications with technology partners and vendors.
Participate in the identification and evaluation of solution providers and partners to support the overall development of service solutions.
Assist in the preparation and conducting of workshops and meetings, with relevant stakeholders.
Pre-Sales & Consultation Support
Collaborate with the sales & delivery teams to gather technical requirements.
·Contribute to the preparation of solutions presentations, proposals and any other relevant materials or tasks.
Project Coordination & Delivery Support
Track project milestones and deliverables and assist in the coordination of execution of tasks across teams.
Support the creation and development of project documentation.
Help ensure documentation (e.g. designs, schedules, templates) aligns with project deliverables and goals.
Support the transition from design to implementation by coordinating with customer success, service delivery and project teams.
Learning & Innovation
Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends through events, training and research.
Suggest ideas for improving existing solutions based on learning and observations
Participate in internal innovation initiatives and brainstorming sessions.
Stay updated with industry best practices and contribute to internal for the development and implementation of high-quality service standards.
Learn from senior technical leaders through mentorship and shadowing
Share knowledge and raise questions to grow technical and consulting skills
Operations Excellence Support
Assist in monitoring and maintaining organizational processes to ensure service quality and efficiency.
Help develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in quality assurance activities and identify areas for optimization.
Support service delivery in awareness and implementation of best practices.
Support compliance and performance management efforts.
Education:
Higher Nitec in an IT-related major.
Experience
Entry-level.
Skills
Possesses basic understanding of IT domains from end-user computing devices, cybersecurity, networking fundamentals (e.g. OSI model, configuration of operating systems, troubleshooting applications, cybersecurity threats and implications).
Able to understand the context of data in the business environment and how to manipulate it where required.
Analytical and critical in processing information by evaluating multiple perspectives and sources.
Possesses the ability to take a structured and systematic approach to things
Proactively identifies opportunities for self-improvement
Comfortable with questioning assumptions and re-evaluating conclusions, and assessments.
Takes ownership of tasks and follows through independently.
Pre-eligbility: Applicants must be under the Work Study Diploma program from ITE.
