Job Description - Associate, Specialist, Treasures Segment Development (Offshore), Consumer Banking Group

Role Purpose

The Segment Development Manager (SDM) plays a key role in supporting the continued growth of the DBS Treasures franchise through proactive engagement and up-segmentation of qualified clients within the DBS retail customer base. The role focuses on structured outreach and meaningful conversation with identified clients to introduce the DBS Treasures value proposition and the Treasures International (TRI) platform.

Working closely with internal stakeholders across Singapore and other DBS markets, the SDM will identify cross-border banking opportunities, facilitate Treasures onboarding where appropriate, and enable referrals across DBS international markets. This role supports DBS' broader Global Indian and cross-corridor banking strategy while ensuring strong client experience, compliance standards, and long-term relationship development.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Up-Segmentation
  • Engage identified DBS retail clients through structured outreach initiatives to introduce the DBS Treasures value proposition.
  • Conduct meaningful conversations to understand client needs and assess suitability for Treasures up-segmentation.
  • Support seamless onboarding of qualified clients into the DBS Treasures segment in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Promote the Treasures International (TRI) proposition to clients with international banking needs.
Cross-Border Proposition Enablement
  • Identify opportunities where clients may benefit from banking relationships across DBS markets.
  • Facilitate cross-corridor referrals in line with DBS Treasures International (TRI) processes.
  • Support initiatives aligned with DBS' Global Indian and cross-border strategy.
  • Client Outreach & Market Development
  • Participate in targeted client engagement campaigns, outreach programmes, and marketing initiatives.
  • Support client engagement through events, ecosystem partnerships, and market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and internal teams to ensure a consistent and seamless client experience.
Client Onboarding & Experience
  • Ensure smooth and timely client onboarding for all referrals.
  • Maintain high standards of service delivery and client experience aligned with the DBS Treasures brand.
  • Support ongoing engagement efforts to build long-term client relationships within the franchise.
Risk, Governance & Compliance
  • Ensure all client engagement and onboarding activities comply with regulatory requirements and DBS internal policies.
  • Conduct relevant KYC, client due diligence, and documentation checks during onboarding.
  • Uphold DBS' standards of professionalism, integrity, and client conduct.
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Business, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • 3-5 years of experience in client engagement, relationship management, affluent banking, or related roles.
  • Exposure to cross-border client segments or international banking environments is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the Singapore affluent client landscape will be beneficial.
  • Strong client engagement, relationship-building capabilities, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in conducting structured banking conversations with clients.
  • Ability to identify client needs and connect them with relevant DBS solutions.
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Client-centric mindset with a focus on long-term relationship building.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating in a performance-driven environment.
  • High integrity with strong risk awareness.
