Associate Test Technician

Overview

Element has an opportunity for Associate Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.

The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform varies of construction testing onsite such as concrete, soil, structural fixings and etc.
  
• Perform test as directed by customer specification / Engineer’s instruction
  
• Operate testing independently and /or under supervision of senior test technician
  
• Gather and record test data and able to communicates properly with client onsite.
  
• Prepare and compile reports/worksheets as per supervisor’s instruction
  

Skills / Qualifications

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety & site safety.
  
• HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
  
• 0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field
  
• Basic understanding of testing concepts
  
• Possess computer skills.
  
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
  

Physical Demands

• Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
  
• Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
  
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  
• Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
