About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Functional Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, with a focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications, including those powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will play a crucial role in validating software against its functional requirements, participating actively in an Agile development environment, and contributing to our automation and AI testing efforts.

Job Description 

• Be a Core Quality Assurance Analyst on Cash related products like Payments, Receivables, Digital Channels and Liquidity and support the Regional Operations and business group for Change implementation 
• Liaise with stakeholders e.g T&O teams across locations to understand requirements and user stories 
• Perform end-to-end UAT i.e. Plan UAT, document test scenarios, document and execute test cases 
• Establish a communication schedule to update sponsors, stakeholders, etc. on the progress of the projects. 
• Analyse test requirements to prepare test scenarios and test cases. 
• Plan and ensure test environment and data availability. 
• Prepare test data required for testing and conduct execution of test cases manually and/or using automation tools. 
• Monitor and control test activities such as conduct execution of test cases, raise, monitor, track and retesting of defects. 
• Ensure completeness in the validation of test cases, conduct test scenarios and results walkthrough with stakeholders. 
• Communicate/report project status to manager/stakeholders on a timely and regular basis. 
• Establish good interaction and working relationship with various stakeholders. 
• Support opportunities for process improvement and develop action plans and appropriate success measures. 
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new trends in software testing, particularly in automation and AI testing.
• Assess AI systems for ethical considerations and potential biases, ensuring fairness and transparency.

Requirements

• Working experience as a UAT tester supporting a financial sector related application  
• Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Quality Assurance / UAT tester  
• Familiar with change management lifecycle and agile methodology
• Knowledge and experience of testing concepts including Agile testing, functional testing  
• Knowledge of requirement, business process and UI based testing on desktop, mobile  
• Knowledge and experience on Confluence, Jira systems for testing, defect management  
• Experience of testing automation tools like Selenium an added advantage  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications are a plus.
