Asst Mgr / Mgr, SP&E (ASEAN Chairmanship) Contract until Dec 2027

[What the role is]

The Strategic Partnerships & Engagement department is responsible for engaging, seeking, and exploring new opportunities with stakeholders from the public, private and people sectors. With Singapore taking on ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027, the department will be responsible for coordinating the Council and the arts sector’s activities to support that.

As an Assistant/Manager in the team, you will help to coordinate, track and manage NAC’s support for ASEAN Chairmanship activities, including on a Whole-of-Government level. You will also support project and vendor management for a major event to be delivered in Q42027.

You will be part of the team of International Relations specialists, and work closely with key government agencies, ministries, statutory boards, foreign embassies, agencies, as well as internal departments and functional units within NAC.

[What you will be working on]

ASEAN engagement and ASEAN Chairmanship

• Support coordination for NAC’s involvement in Singapore’s ASEAN Chairmanship

• Support project management of a major event to be delivered in Q42027, including coordination of AMS participation to implementation

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to align on ASEAN related deliverables

Effective administration and operational support for the team

• Track and monitor budgets, expenditures and prepare timely reports for management and stakeholders

• Support cross-function and cross-department initiatives

• Good written and communication skills

• Able to work independently as well as collaborate with team members and external stakeholders to drive projects

• Strong time and project management skills

• Knowledge of the local and international arts scene will be an advantage

• Familiarity with ASEAN structures will be an advantage

• Knowledge of public sector procurement will be an advantage
