Automation Tester (Banking/ East/ 6 Months Contract)

Role: Automation Tester (Banking / 6-months contract)  

Key Accountabilities: 

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test scenarios and detailed end-to-end test cases for the assigned projects relating to the digital platform’s user acceptance testing. 
• Able to write test cases in JBehave for agile projects. 
• Expert in using testing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc., to execute and maintain project status. 
• Knowledge of web and mobile application testing in the banking domain, with good time management and keen eye for details to ensure quality and timely output. 
• Detect, report, and track defects in the application tools and with various stakeholders to ensure proper closure of issues. 
• Analyse BDD/User stories from the PO, review, and come up with high-level test scenarios to meet user requirements. 
• Execute the assigned manual or automation testing, log defects, and follow up on defects to ensure timely closure. Generate reports of testing, prepare training slides for touchpoints, and required update to delivery. 
• Expected to be an expert in the banking domain and able to write test plan and testing summary documents. To write and execute end-to-end test scenarios with detailed steps as per requirements either via manual or automation testing. 
• Actively participate and collaborate in project meetings and discussions, keen attention to details and time management to ensure quality and timely output of the project assigned. 
• Develop maintainable automated checks in collaboration with our development teams. 
• Collaborate with all stakeholders proactively to complete the job assigned from clarification to issue closure. 
• Good with documentation as constant updates to project changes will need to be updated timely. 

Required Experience: 

• At least 2 years of working experience(s) preferably in Web and Mobile Banking solutions, excellent technical programming skills with familiarity with the various programming languages. 
• Strong knowledge of Appium, Selenium, JUNIT. 
• Strong coding knowledge in Java, Objective-C, JavaScript, or similar. 
• Good experience in developing complex SQL queries. 
• Knowledge of SOAP UI and web service testing is a plus. 
• Knowledge of basic UNIX Commands and the ability to work with the Linux flavor. 
• GIT commands and their usage. 
• Experience with at least one of the following technologies: Cucumber, Appium, Selenium, XCode UI Automation, Espresso, (mobile testing tools and frameworks). 
• Experience with basic UNIX commands and working knowledge of LINUX flavor. 
• Hands-on experience with tools like SOAP UI, REST API. 
• Possess working knowledge of Bitbucket etc. (Anything apart from Bitbucket is good to have). 
• Keen focus on quality output in software development in the user acceptance stage.
