AV Technician

Audio Visual

• In charge of setting up, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment in school compounds.
• Provide technical support in lighting, audio, video and stage for events by the Authority or external organizations.
• Assist school staff in setting up AV equipment for events, meetings and lessons when required.
• To assist ICT staff when required.

• Assist teachers in video-recording school events and lessons when required.
• To assist with school digital signages.

AV Procurement

• assist HOD ICT / ICT Manager / ICT Associate with the procurement process in regards AV related solutions and services.

• Recommending new equipment purchases when necessary

Managing AV Resources

• Assist ICT Team in managing the school's AV resources such as condemnation of AV equipment and the loan of AV equipment.
• Assist with venue bookings.
• Assist ICT Team for asset management and during audits.
• Conduct annual maintenance of hardware and carry out troubleshooting and basic repair of AV equipment.
• Investigate equipment faults and recommend actions to rectify.

• Performing routine inspection and maintenance on projectors, speakers, microphones, and other AV equipment.

• Maintaining records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Creating user guides for common AV setups if needed.
• Liaison with vendors regarding AV requirement and repair related matters.

Other tasks

• Video creation and editing.
• Any other duties assigned by the school.

• To assist with photography / videography and graphic design

Requirement: 

• Preferably Diploma
• Minimum of 3 years of experience and preferably in school Environment
• Relevant Skill & Experience on AV equipment, handling and Systems
• Proficiency in operating and simple troubleshooting audiovisual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, video cameras, lighting equipment, and control systems.
• Familiarity with audio and video editing software, such as Audacity, Reaper, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, Capcut, etc

Duration /Working hours:

12 months contract (With option to extend another year) 1 Aug 2025 to 31 Jul 2026

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Service not required on Sundays and gazetted public holidays
• Service might be needed on Saturday if there are school events.
