AVP, ASDV Real Estate Finance - SMBC

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior team members in the origination and execution of property finance transactions across the Asia Pacific region
• Assist in transaction execution activities, including financial analysis, due diligence coordination, documentation support, and closing processes
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including credit, risk, legal, compliance, and operations teams, to support approval and execution workflows
• Prepare financial models and cash flow projections
• Assist in preparing credit applications, property memos under the guidance of senior team members
• Support the monitoring of the Asia Pacific property loan portfolio
• Conduct market, sector, and property-level research to support transaction analysis and portfolio management

Qualifications / Requirements

• University degree in real estate, business, finance, or a related discipline
• Approximately 2-4 years of relevant experience with a commercial bank, investment bank or real estate fund
• Basic understanding of Asia Pacific real estate markets and credit fundamentals
• Proficient in written and spoken English; additional Asian language skills are an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to complete assigned tasks accurately within agreed timelines
• Proactive, dependable, and able to work effectively under supervision
• Team-oriented with a professional and positive attitude
• Well organised with good attention to detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
