AVP, Credit Analyst, Corporate Banking

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and independent credit risk assessments of existing and potential clients
• Prepare and present annual and quarterly Credit Reviews for both existing and new clients
• Independently assist in the credit rating application process as proposed by the Credit Department.
• Compile and present monthly reports to Branch Senior Management during Credit Committee meetings, monitoring the disclosure and receipt of financial statements, and ensuring timely completion of Credit Reviews.
• Maintain a monthly self-review checklist to report on the department's work schedule to Branch Senior Management.
• Prepare detailed reports on financial and non-financial covenants, including verification of individual covenant certificates provided by agent banks.
• Communicate effectively with Head Office on matters of credit as needed.
• Facilitate Credit Committee meetings, including preparing, circulating, and archiving minutes and related materials.
• Conduct research and generate reports on credit issues relevant to the branch's credit portfolio.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Credit experience in Corporate Banking
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct independent credit risk assessments.
• Experience in corporate banking and familiarity with credit rating processes.
• Product knowledge across general Corporate Lending facilities 
• Knowledge across Project Finance, REIT, Shipping Finance and Leveraged Finance are strong plus points
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
