Job Description - AVP Financial reporting

Key Responsibilities

Handle daily finance operations and regulatory BAU, including journal entries, bank and broker reconciliations, client money segregation, and risk-based capital computations
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare and submit regulatory and statutory filings, including MAS returns, GST filings, and Corporate Income Tax
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors on audit and tax-related matters
Support finance-related ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW or equivalent) preferred
3-8 years of relevant experience in audit, financial reporting and/or regulatory reporting within a securities, brokerage, or capital markets environment
Solid understanding of MAS regulatory requirements applicable to CMS licensees
Familiarity with financial products including equities, bonds, and derivatives
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
Self-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
