Job Description - AVP, Information & Technology Risk Manager (Awareness & Training Specialist)

Risk and Performance Management Department (RPMD)
We work collaboratively across teams to help guard against blind spots and ensure that all relevant risks are considered and duly addressed.

Information & Technology Risk Management

You will be a part of a team that independently protects the firm's information technology assets, including business data, from external threats and operational risks, while supporting the firm's digitalisation journey in a secure manner.

What will you do as an AVP, Information & Technology Risk Manager?


The Technology Governance Oversight - Awareness & Training Specialist will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's Technology Awareness and Training Program, covering areas such as Cybersecurity, AI Governance and Responsible Use of Technology Resources.

This role focuses on driving awareness, building capability, and strengthening the organization's overall technology posture through effective education, engagement, and governance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technology risk principles, learning design, and stakeholder management, with the ability to translate complex technology and AI topics into practical, engaging learning experiences for employees across all levels.

Program Development & Implementation
  • Support the design and rollout of a comprehensive global technology awareness and training program aligned with organizational goals
  • Deliver training and educational programs that enhance understanding of cybersecurity, AI governance and responsible use of technology resources practices across all levels of the organization.
  • Support the development of hands-on training modules and simulations to provide experiential learning in cybersecurity and AI risk management.-on training modules and simulations to provide experiential learning in cybersecurity and AI risk management.
  • Utilize innovative learning technologies and methods (e.g., gamification, microlearning, interactive simulations, AI driven learning tools) to enhance engagement and retention.-learning, interactive simulations, AI-driven learning tools) to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Ensure training content remains current, relevant, and aligned with emerging technology trends, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Governance & Reporting
  • Support the establishment of governance processes for technology awareness and training, including policy alignment and compliance tracking.
  • Develop and maintain Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and metrics to measure technology hygiene, AI risk awareness, and overall technology posture across regions.
  • Prepare periodic reports and dashboards for management, highlighting progress, effectiveness, and areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and program delivery.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Risk, HR, and Communications teams to embed technology and AI awareness into organizational culture.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimally 5 years of relevant experience in technology/cybersecurity risk, governance, awareness, or training roles within financial services or large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of technology risk fundamentals, cybersecurity, and AI governance principles.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs using modern learning tools and platforms.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS), phishing simulation platforms, and relevant industry standards (e.g. NIST CSF, ISO 27001) as well as familiarity with AI ethics or governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF, OECD AI Principles).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to simplify complex technical and AI topics for nontechnical audiences.-technical audiences.
