Job Description - AVP/VP, Business Governance & Processes, Institutional Banking Group COO Office

Business Function

Institutional Banking Group provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, , trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Through our continued commitment, DBS has cultivated long-standing relationships with its customers in the region that are based on account relationship management, service differentiation, product development and rigorous credit standards.

Responsibilities
  • Drive, manage, communicate and implement end to end business sales and credit workflow transformation, enhancements, and solutions as the Bank transforms the way we work
  • Leverage on digital solutions (including but not limited to AI tools) for streamlining/implementing internal projects (including automation of IBG sales and credit processes)
  • Drive and govern policy and process improvements to support IBG initiatives and activities
  • Be the voice of IBG and represent IBG community in across Business Unit/Support Unit workgroups, councils and/or projects in achieving common goals
  • Work with various IBG teams and other stakeholders collaboratively to ensure alignment of policies, processes and initiatives
  • Prepare business updates and presentations to senior management on key initiatives, areas of focus, business policy and process changes, etc
  • Study various dimensions of data, perform analysis of data trends, and formulate recommendations for business and process improvements
  • Support and drive priority projects and initiatives in a highly dynamic and challenging environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree with at least 4-8 years of relevant experience in a banking environment
  • Strong understanding of Bank's policies and processes, knowledge of IBG-owned and/or related policies/processes will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a good sense of the business environment and attention to details
  • Strong communicator with good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills; able to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Able to deliver results in an agile, dynamic and challenging environment, with strong ability to multitask yet detailed-oriented
  • Strong commitment and collaborative mindset to deliver excellent quality of work
  • Candidates with Relationship Manager, project management experience will be an advantage
