Backend Engineer

• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performing backend applications to support enterprise business operations.
  
  


• Architect and implement backend solutions that ensure seamless communication between applications, services, and external platforms.
  
  


• Build and enhance cloud-native applications hosted on AWS to achieve optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
  
  


• Establish efficient data processing workflows and optimise database interactions to improve application responsiveness.
  
  


• Implement asynchronous processing mechanisms and event-driven solutions to facilitate reliable data exchange across systems.
  
  


• Apply industry-standard software engineering principles to produce clean, reusable, maintainable, and secure code.
  
  


• Configure and manage application deployment processes to support continuous integration and delivery across development environments.
  
  


• Collaborate with frontend developers, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated software solutions.
  
  


• Diagnose and resolve complex application issues, performance bottlenecks, and production incidents to maintain system stability.
  
  


• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development efficiency and software quality.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  
  


• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in backend software development, including hands-on experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.
  
  


• Proficient in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js, with practical knowledge of API development, distributed systems, and application integration.
  
  


• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud infrastructure, containerised environments, and automated software delivery processes.
  
  


• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work effectively in collaborative development teams and deliver robust technical solutions.
