Branch Manager

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager (Logistics & Operations) to lead and grow our logistics operations in Singapore. This role requires a strong leader with deep knowledge of import/export operations, freight forwarding, client relationship management, and regional business development across Southeast Asia. The successful candidate will oversee operational excellence, team leadership, and strategic growth while ensuring high service standards and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise directly with clients and shippers, building strong working relationships throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Manage end-to-end import and export sea and air freight operations, including documentation handling and creation.
• Communicate with agents, partners, internal teams, and clients regarding shipment status and coordination.
• Create and manage CargoWise files and ensure systems are updated accurately and on time.
• Ensure operational processes and shipping procedures are followed consistently.
• Drive new business development and generate profitable opportunities within defined parameters.
• Maintain and grow existing client relationships.
• Oversee staffing, team performance, and regional operational activities.
• Take full ownership and accountability for operations, including problem-solving and escalation handling.

Requirements: 

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of Imports, Exports, General Logistics, Warehousing, and Customs processes.
• Experience in sea and air freight operations (import/export and cross trades).
• Proven ability to negotiate favorable buying rates with suppliers and service providers.
• Experience building and growing business through new client acquisition.
• Strong client engagement and relationship management skills.
• Southeast Asia market knowledge is required.
• Experience using CargoWise is a strong advantage.
• Established network with shipping lines, airlines, and truckers preferred.
• Strong leadership track record with team management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet research skills.
• Well-organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with a transparent and team-oriented approach.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work overtime when required.
