Job Description - Branch Manager (Solutions & Remote Services) - Rapid Progression

The Branch Manager (BM) is in a senior management role and reports directly to the Country President. The BM is responsible for overseeing all functions of SRS, ensuring smooth departmental operations, and delivering Commercial Excellence. Accountable for defining, developing, and delivering Securitas' top-line and Gross Margin/Contribution to the SRS business. With an in-depth understanding of the market, the BM researches market needs and trends, executes the commercial strategy in line with Securitas' overall commercial strategy, and defines key targets and sales ambitions for all sales work streams. 

The BM identifies segments and clients to pursue, qualifies clients, and makes ultimate decisions on pursuing clients or tenders based on market segmentation, risk assessment, and pricing strategy. Develops and executes strategic initiatives and client engagement programs to position Securitas as the preferred security partner in Singapore, ensuring the methodical execution of NOSE for segments and clients. Duties include maintaining client relationships, analyzing current strategies, and developing improved action plans.

The BM is to build, lead, develop, train, and motivate the team to ensure client needs are understood and solutions meet client expectations. Responsible for the sales process for prospects and clients and accountable for the team's sales process, ensuring the CEP/CRM is updated with the necessary information, developing winning strategies for prospective clients, ensuring correct costing and pricing, reviewing service agreements, and supporting the team in negotiations and closing deals. The BM leverages support from various resources, including finance, legal, and other management personnel. The BM maintains close relationships with clients and implements strategic engagement programs to ensure effective client management and business growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the growth acceleration of the SRS business, aligning it with global targets, including doubling the Solution Business from 2024 to 2026 while maintaining a contribution margin above 50%.
  • Accountability for the operational organization, ensuring sales and operational effectiveness across all business lines.
  • Lead a newly established solutions organization, responsible for fostering the growth of the solutions business, overseeing the development, sales support, and delivery of Solutions while promoting collaboration across various teams.
  • Drive the growth of the SRS in alignment with country-level targets.
  • Elevated levels of client and prospective client engagement to educate, collect feedback, and integrate in the strategic direction.
  • Achievement of both sales and gross margin performance targets in SRS business.
  • Promotes other business areas (solutions-focused) and act in the best interest of Securitas.
  • Manages the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to identify and establish best practices for SOC 
  • Drive the growth acceleration of the SRS business, aligning it with global targets, including doubling the Solution Business from 2024 to 2026 while maintaining a contribution margin above 50%.
  • Accountability for the operational organization, ensuring sales and operational effectiveness across all business lines.
  • Lead a newly established solutions organization, responsible for fostering the growth of the solutions business, overseeing the development, sales support, and delivery of Solutions while promoting collaboration across various teams.
  • Manages the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to identify and establish best practices for SOC operations and helps ensure best-in-class service delivery.
  • Identify, lead, and implement improvement projects and work streams for all SOC services, ensuring an end-to-end strategic vision and effective implementation.
  • Support knowledge improvement and continuous professional development of staff, working with SOC Training Lead and operators to upskill technical knowledge and skill set in all areas.
  • Assisting high-profile Customer accounts within the SOC, providing technical advice and guidance as required.
  • Helping to generate growth within the SOC through the Securitas Partner Program, third-party installers, and new customers.
  • Develop and support existing remote services platforms and identify opportunities to improve the services delivered from these platforms.
  • Implement systems and processes for all new remote services platforms.
  • Drive the growth of the SRS in alignment with country-level targets.
  • Elevated levels of client and prospective client engagement to educate, collect feedback, and integrate in the strategic direction.
  • Achievement of both sales and gross margin performance targets in SRS business.
  • Promotes other business areas (solutions-focused) and acts in the best interest of Securitas.

To deliver results from the SOC that meet or exceed the Business Plan, Budget and Forecasts through full responsibility and accountability for the P&L:

  • Growth of the SOC Portfolio revenue and profitability through the acquisition of new customers, expansion of existing contracts, minimizing contract reductions and losses, and appropriate price increases.  Ensure customer satisfaction through assessment and compliance with contractual and SLA requirements.
  • Working closely with technology partners to grow and expand business relationships.
  • Tailoring customer visits to the SOC.
  • Driving innovation and focus on customer solutions.
  • Developing the SOC service provision for customers and constantly improving and building on the service provision.
  • Ensure excellent service to internal customers by analyzing performance and reporting on areas that can improve the company's overall performance.
  • Capture of additional profitable revenue opportunities where these arise and do not impact core portfolio service.
  • Close monitoring and management of all direct costs to maximize efficiency at service levels; development and sharing of “best practices” and use of systems and tools to improve service and margins; and ensuring avoidable and non-chargeable costs are minimized by effective planning and staff management.
  • Close monitoring and management of all indirect costs to ensure these match the requirements for the effective operation of the SOC.
  • Development and growth of the temp desk business, identifying new opportunities and growing this profitable area through the company.
  • Management of Risk through measuring compliance to KPIs.
  • Setting and meeting performance targets for speed, efficiency and quality
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments, legislation and regulation changes to ensure compliance and passing the annual SACE audit and renewal of the CAMS license annually.
  • Monitoring random calls to improve quality, minimize errors, and track operative performance.
  • Drive and measure the use of GRS/ GMS and other tools throughout the mobile dispatch team.
  • Excellent understanding of the IT platforms used and new technical developments going forward, supporting the team.
  • Drive the solutions opportunity and range of services available through the Areas and throughout the business.

To build, develop, lead, and retain a team of Operators, Supervisors, and Admin staff that believe and demonstrate through their work that Securitas is the leading Security company:

  • Ensuring understanding and demonstrable implementation of the Values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
  • Ensuring adequate and appropriate training, advice, and support is provided to make the team successful. This includes ensuring knowledge and use of key systems, tools, and policies, undertaking regular appraisals, providing open feedback on progress and career development, and using sanctions for underperformance.
  • Reviewing the performance of the team, identifying training needs, and planning training sessions.
  • Managing and motivating the shift supervisors to ensure consistency, high-quality delegation, and task management across the shift teams.
  • Delegate authority and empower and hold staff accountable to clear objectives that assist in SOC development.
  • Managing recruitment and succession planning to ensure that the SOC has the capability to execute the Business Plan.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Marketing or its related field
  • With 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in the Security Manpower, Electronic Security, and Solutions industry, with knowledge and track record of managing P&L.
  • Good project management and budgeting experience.
  • Multiple stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Strong market knowledge and the ability to develop or deliver service solutions.
  • Strong costing, pricing, and service agreement leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a complex and diverse work environment. 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and mentor security professionals to ensure optimal performance.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. 
  • Ability to manage accounts with high quality and within contractual frames.
  • Results-driven and customer service-oriented.
