Job Description - Business Analyst (Cheque Clearance)

Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for cheque clearing processes in Singapore.
Translate regulatory, operational, and business needs into clear and structured requirements.
Develop detailed process flows, use cases, and business rules for cheque lifecycle management
Apply strong domain knowledge of Singapore cheque clearing mechanisms, including:

Clearing and settlement cycles
Presentment and return processes
Cut-off times and exception handling
Dishonoured cheques and adjustments

Ensure solutions comply with local clearing rules, MAS guidelines, and industry standards (e.g., CTS/MEPS+ touchpoints where relevant).
Support analysis of cheque truncation, image-based clearing, and reconciliation processes where applicable.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Singapore Cheque Clearing

Strong understanding of:

Singapore cheque clearing rules and processes
Clearing timelines, cut-offs, and settlement cycles
Exception handling and reconciliation

Experience working in banking or financial services environments
Strong documentation, analysis, and communication skills
