Finance Business Development Executives represent individuals who manage and close opportunities through the establishment of a win-win strategy, ongoing qualification, coordinating all required internal approvals, identification of required resources, management of the solution/proposition development, management of client interactions during the sales process and facilitating the negotiations and closing activities.

 

A professional at this position level within Ingram Micro has the following responsibilities:

  • Works with the Ingram Micro sales and market specific management teams to provide finance and IT centric solutions to complex sales opportunity business problems for areas of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of both the reseller organization, their end user customer IT solutioning objectives and how various financing programs and models can solve for customer payment and cash flow requirements.
  • Participates in setting strategic direction to establish near term goals for their target market.
  • Interacts with senior management levels at resellers, reseller customers, and/or within Ingram Micro, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters.
  • Has latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
  • Has a dual reporting line into the Country head of Sales and the Country IMFS lead to develop and deliver customer required funding solutions (both reseller and their customers).
  • Manages large team interaction and work efforts at reseller or their customer in support of the reseller and/or within Ingram Micro.

 

Required / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous IT finance sales and related financial industry business development experience with a proven track record of over achieving goals and quotas specific to IT equipment leasing / financing.
  • Record of building a network and relationships at the senior management level, preferably in the IT reseller market and/or territory they will be covering.
  • Deep understanding of and ability to sell simple through complex financial deal structures is required.
  • Advanced networking, sales, and marketing skills, including proven ability to carry and sell to personal sales quota specifically within the IT equipment finance industry.
  • Proven track record exceeding $20+ million per annum in financing volume sales targets with both FMV and full payout types of finance deal structures.
  • Deep understanding and utilization of a multitude of financial solution strategies to close deals and subsequently leverage financial relationship successes as a catalyst for volume and customer relationship growth, competitive takeaways and ongoing retention (within both the reseller and their end user customer arenas).
  • Executive level presence and influence with client organizations.
  • Ability to run oral presentations to and for C-Level clientele or group audiences.
  • Experience with IT finance centric sales training within the IT channel seller marketplace is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast paced, multi-tasking type of sales environment with a keen ability to understand the nuances of deal and customer relationship prioritization against tight deadline requirements.
  • Strong capabilities to accurately assess deal opportunities to determine quickly both deal and customer potential (qualified vs. unqualified assessment skill set) so as to build a qualified deal opportunity pipeline that optimally maximizes time and resource emphasis focus.
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert finance sales leader to direct the flow of engagements, including a keen ability to manage accurate and efficient sales pipeline progression.
  • IT lease/finance sales experience of 10+ years
  • Bachelor’s Degree is generally required.
