We are seeking an ambitious, highly strategic, and commercially driven Business Development General Manager ("GM") to lead our regional expansion. The GM will spearhead our market penetration, build high-level strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth to take our company to the next level. This is a senior executive-level role for a proven leader who thrives in fast-paced and high-growth environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
(i) Strategic Growth: Develop, execute, and oversee business strategies aligned with corporate objectives to drive revenue and market expansion.
(ii) Partner & Client Relationships: Build and maintain high-level relationships with key clients, distributors, and strategic partners.
(iii) Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to analyse trends, assess competitors' activities, and identify new, profitable growth opportunities.
(iv) Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and scale the business development and sales teams to achieve and exceed sales targets.
(v)Deal Execution: Lead contract negotiations and manage discussions to secure favorable commercial terms for the company.
(vi) Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, and operations) to ensure seamless execution of new business initiatives.
(vi) Financial Management: Manage the P&L for the business development division, establish financial growth plans, and optimize pricing/tenders.
Qualifications& Requirements
(i) Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in senior business development, commercial leadership, or general management.
(ii) Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a relevant discipline.
(iii) Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to close high-value deals, scale operations, and enter new markets successfully.
(iv) Leadership Skills: Strong executive presence, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing P&L.
(v) Communication: Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and negotiation skills. Must be able to read, write and speak both English and Mandarin.
(vi) Others: Familiar with China & Malaysia export laws and procedures and Singapore import laws and procedures.
