Job Description - Business Development Manager (Business Banking)

As a business banking manager, you will be involved in acquiring new-to-bank Small Medium Enterprise (SME) clients and introducing the full spectrum of business banking products and services to meet the financial needs of the SME client.  

  • Acquire new-to-bank borrowing accounts through cold-calling and referrals
  • Provide good customer service to clients by understanding their needs
  • Engage in ongoing conversations with existing and new clients to understand their needs and requirements to assess how the bank is able to help them to protect and grow their wealth to achieve their business financial goals (i.e., commercial property loans, trade facilities, asset-based financing etc.
  • Provide accurate information regarding the benefits and privileges that the client will enjoy as a customer of the bank
  • Comply with all regulations and controls as set by the Bank and external regulatory authorities
 
Skills and requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of sales/business development experience
  • Strong knowledge of business banking products
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Results-oriented, dynamic and self-driven
  • Competent in engaging and managing internal and external clients
  • Keen understanding of adherence to credit underwriting requirements.
