Business Development Manager (Freight Forwarding)

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 6 pm)

Adecco has partnered with a global leader in the 3PL industry and is seeking exceptional talent for the role of Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, the successful incumbent will be leading a team of 2 to spearhead the business expansion activities such as securing new 3PL businesses within the healthcare industry.

The Job:

• Leading and guiding the Sales team
• Present solutions to address challenges and secure new business opportunities, as well as expand existing business, across Air, Ocean, and Cross-Border trucking segments
• Conduct market research independently to identify and compile a list of new or potential customers
• Collaborate with the Air/Ocean operations team to investigate the root cause of irregular occurrences and develop effective countermeasures
• Supervise RFQ management with the RFQ team and formulate rate proposals for customers in both the Air and Ocean business sectors.
• Executing sales initiatives by company-defined targets.
• Discovering market prospects through meetings, networking activities, and various communication avenues

The Talent:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Min. 3 - 4 years in the Logistics & Freight Forwarding industry with Sales and Business Development exposure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
