Job Description - Business Development Manager (RetroFIT+) Singapore


Summary

The Business Development Manager, RetroFIT+ drives Belimo’s retrofit growth in Singapore by developing opportunities, building strategic customer and partner relationships, and promoting energy-efficient HVAC solutions across key building segments.

What You'll Do


  • Drive awareness, consideration, and adoption of the RetroFIT+ model in the Singapore retrofit market.

  • Grow retrofit collaborations by scaling the global RetroFIT+ Partner Program, strengthening strategic partnerships, and executing global initiatives in line with local market priorities and regional plans.

  • Support retrofit marketing and sales activities by providing application solutions, tools, training, and technical expertise that help position Belimo as a preferred partner

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, consultants, building owners, and other key stakeholders by understanding their needs and delivering value-added solutions.

  • Represent Belimo at industry events, conferences, association meetings, and trade shows to develop relationships with potential customers and partners.

  • Develop and implement a clear strategy for the Singapore retrofit market, leveraging Belimo’s energy-saving value proposition to support business growth.

  • Educate and influence consultants, building owners, designers, consulting engineers, and end users through strong product and application knowledge, including supporting and influencing project specifications.

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Innovation teams by sharing market trends, customer insights, and emerging retrofit requirements.

Who You Are


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering; professional certifications such as GM or SCEM are preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably managing large and complex accounts.

  • Strong HVAC industry experience with sound systems knowledge and the ability to translate technical solutions into commercial value propositions, including ROI and ESG benefits.

  • Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and commercial mindset.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong customer relationships.

  • Results-oriented, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.

  • Established network in the Singapore market among consultants, building owners, and other key stakeholders is highly preferred.

  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial team player with strong integrity, customer orientation, a growth mindset, and excellent English communication skills; other Asian languages are an advantage.
