Job Description - Business Development Manager/Senior Manager (DSS-2026-03-01)


Job Purpose


  • Business Development & Client Acquisition:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, focusing on contract logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management services.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment manufacturers, and healthcare organizations.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  • Market Research & Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning within the medical and pharmaceutical logistics sector.
    • Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and technological advancements affecting medical and pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Solution Development:
    • Work with internal teams to design and propose tailored logistics solutions that meet the specific needs of clients in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, including temperature-sensitive products, regulatory compliance, and product handling requirements.
    • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure smooth implementation and service delivery.
  • Contract Negotiation & Management:
    • Lead negotiations on commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients.
    • Oversee contract execution and ensure that the terms of the agreements are met, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments such as operations, legal, and finance to ensure seamless coordination of logistics services for clients.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and strategies targeting the medical and pharma sectors.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, specifically in contract logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
    • Prior experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry is mandatory, with a deep understanding of industry regulations, handling requirements, and market needs.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the logistics or pharmaceutical industry.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to develop customized logistics solutions, with a focus on temperature control, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards, such as Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceuticals.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
