Position: Business Development / Treaty Underwriter Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and assist team members in reaching both individual and group KPIs.
• Assign work, track development, and offer coaching to improve output and service quality.
• Create a cooperative, upbeat workplace that promotes lifelong learning.
• Find and seize new business prospects in all areas of general insurance.
• Create and put into action plans to meet market share goals and premium targets.
• To increase retention and acquisition, cultivate and preserve solid relationships with corporate clients and agents.
• Determine growth areas by analysing market trends and rival activity, then modify plans accordingly.
• Work together with the underwriting, claims, and operations teams to smooth service delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Underwrite commercial and industrial risks under delegated authority while abiding by treaty conditions and underwriting rules; make suggestions to underwriting for risks outside of authorized authority.
• Create competitive, compliant quotes for agents and clients. Examine the terms of renewal and make any necessary changes to the premiums, conditions, and phrasing.
• When necessary, organize and/or carry out risk assessments to assist in making wise underwriting choices.
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certified in CGI/PGI.
• Min of 5 years of relevant experience.
