Buyer (Utilities Co.) Up to $3800 Bonus 6 months - Unlimited Growth Potential

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Buyer to join our team for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension or conversion. As a Buyer at our utilities company, you will play a crucial role in the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of equipment, hardware, materials, spare parts, software, supplies, tools, technical and commercial services, and engineering works. Your responsibilities will include:

• Procuring essential items to facilitate business operations and plant maintenance activities within the company group of companies.
• Achieving optimal cost savings through strategic purchasing at the right price, quality, quantity, and deliverable timelines.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
• Conducting market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential vendors.
• Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in oil, gas, and power energy-related business industries.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
• Must be willing to work at Tuas and adhere to the specified working hours.

Additional Information:

• Working Location: Tuas (Transport will be provided at Jurong East or Choa Chu Kang)
• Working Hours: 8.15am to 5.30pm (Monday to Friday)
