CAR WASH ATTENDANT

Position

Car Washer / Car Grooming Assistant

Job Purpose

To provide customers with a clean, well-maintained vehicle through efficient washing, drying, vacuuming, and basic grooming services while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Exterior Cleaning

● Perform automated and manual car washing.

● Pre-rinse vehicles and remove heavy dirt when required.

● Hand dry vehicles using microfiber towels.

● Clean wheels, tyres, wheel arches, and door jambs.

● Apply tyre shine and basic exterior finishing products.

Interior Cleaning

● Vacuum carpets, seats, and boot areas.

● Wipe dashboards, door panels, centre consoles, and interior trims.

● Clean interior windows and mirrors.

● Remove light stains and debris.

● Ensure vehicles are returned clean and presentable.

Vehicle Grooming

● Assist with waxing, polishing, ceramic or graphene coating preparation.

● Apply basic protective products according to company procedures.

● Inspect completed vehicles to ensure quality standards are met.

Customer Service

● Greet customers politely.

● Guide customers through the washing process.

● Handle vehicles carefully and responsibly.

● Report any existing vehicle damage before work begins.

● Escalate customer concerns to supervisors when necessary.

Equipment & Workplace

● Operate washing machines and vacuum equipment safely.

● Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

● Refill cleaning chemicals and consumables.

● Perform daily equipment checks.

● Follow workplace safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

● No experience required; training will be provided.

● Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

● Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.

● Able to work weekends and public holidays on a rotating schedule.

● Responsible, punctual, and hardworking.

● Able to work independently as well as in a team.

● Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.

Working Hours

● 5–6 days per week (including weekends on rotation).
