Overview

We're looking for a Cargo Surveyor to join our team in Singapore. You'll play a key role in supporting marine insurance operations by reviewing and improving survey reports. You'll also manage overseas surveys, handle assigned cases, and ensure reports are accurate, timely, and meet the highest standards.

This is a desk-based role, ideal for someone with a background in marine insurance or surveying. You'll need solid knowledge of cargo and transit risks, and the ability to work well in a team while taking full ownership of your work.

How you'll make an impact

• Review survey reports for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
• Add technical insights and recommendations to ensure reports meet client and insurer needs.
• Coordinate overseas surveys, appointing surveyors and providing clear instructions.
• Act as the main technical contact for survey partners and overseas correspondents.
• Manage your caseload efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
• Use your marine insurance expertise to assess losses and recommend solutions.
• Review shipping documents like Bills of Lading and commercial invoices to support findings.

About you

• You've got solid knowledge of marine insurance and surveying.
• You've worked in marine cargo surveying before (preferred).
• You understand marine insurance principles and transit risks.
• You're skilled at writing clear, detailed reports.
• You're great at managing your time and handling multiple cases.
• Eligible to work in Singapore.
