Casework Associate (Community Mental Health Department, Central Region)

About Community Mental Health Department:

Our Community Resource, Engagement and Support (CREST) teams support clients who are at risk of or diagnosed with mental illness as well as their caregivers. The teams provide basic emotional support and monitoring of their mental health conditions through home visits and service linkages.

Responsibilities:

• Support any networking events with stakeholders such as government agencies, grassroots, and community-based organizations to raise awareness of mental health
• Support mental health screening events to identify those who are at-risk/diagnosed with mental health conditions and connect them with the right services for early diagnosis and treatment
• Provide basic emotional and cognitive support to clients who are at-risk/diagnosed with mental health conditions and/or their caregivers and link them up with relevant services based on their needs
• Ensure proper maintenance of case documentation and timely submission of reports to external parties
• Support the run of a caregiver support

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or other fields related to healthcare or community care
• Preferably 2 to 3 years of healthcare/community care experience
• Passionate to work in the mental health sector and community services
• Good communication skills (oral, written, bilingual) and interpersonal skills
• A team player who can also work independently
• Detail-oriented in keeping proper documentation
• This position is on a contract basis
