Chemist (Chemical Plant)

• Carry out analysis and application studies in the area of polyurethane laminating adhesives and coatings using laboratory equipment such as chromatography, FTIR, and universal testing machines.
• Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods to support product development, quality control, and troubleshooting activities.
• Perform routine and non-routine chemical analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Interpret analytical data and prepare technical reports, test results, and documentation.
• Investigate product quality issues and support root cause analysis for manufacturing and customer-related concerns.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, and Technical Service teams on product development and improvement projects.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Support new product development through formulation testing, performance evaluation, and analytical characterization.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, and internal quality management system requirements where applicable.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, and sample tracking documentation.
• Participate in laboratory audits, equipment qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review analytical procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and testing accuracy.
• Assist in evaluating alternative raw materials and conducting comparative studies.
• Comply with laboratory safety guidelines and maintain good laboratory housekeeping.

Requirements:

• BSc with Honors in Chemistry.
• Experience in chemical lab is advantage
• Enjoys working with instruments 
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
