The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and financial performance of the company, a B2B supplier of wood and timber materials.
The CEO oversees business strategy, financial management, and operational execution, including regional sourcing and supply chain activities across Asia, Europe and USA, to ensure sustainable growth and operational reliability in Singapore and key markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Commercial Leadership
Define and execute the company’s overall business strategy in the wood and timber materials sector
Identify growth opportunities across B2B markets including construction, interior fit-out, manufacturing, and industrial sectors
Develop pricing, sourcing, and market positioning strategies to maintain competitiveness
Evaluate new product lines, material innovations, and supplier partnerships
2. Financial Management & Business Performance
Oversee budgeting, cash flow management, and overall profitability of the company
Monitor revenue performance, cost structures, and margin optimisation
Review and approve major purchases, supplier contracts, and customer agreements
Ensure effective working capital management, including inventory and receivables
3. Supply Chain & Operations Oversight
Provide executive oversight of timber sourcing, material specifications (including veneer formats, backing systems, and finishing requirements), inventory management, and logistics coordination
Manage supplier relationships across regional and international markets (including Asia and Europe) to ensure reliability and cost efficiency
Oversee import/export processes, shipment planning, and delivery coordination
Ensure operational control over material quality, production timelines, and fulfilment performance
4. People & Organisational Leadership
Lead and manage cross-functional teams across sales, supply chain, and administrative functions
Establish clear reporting structures, performance targets, and accountability frameworks
Oversee recruitment, staff development, and workforce planning
Ensure compliance with Singapore employment laws and workplace standards
5. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with corporate, trade, and regulatory requirements in Singapore
Oversee adherence to import/export regulations, sustainability certifications (e.g. FSC), and material documentation standards
Maintain internal controls, documentation processes, and risk management practices
Ensure proper corporate governance and statutory reporting
6. Client & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key B2B customers, suppliers, and logistics partners
Lead negotiations with major clients and strategic partners
Act as the primary decision-maker for key commercial and operational matters, including pricing strategy, supplier selection, and contract approvals
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Board of Directors / Shareholders
Sales, supply chain, and finance functions report directly to the CEO
Qualifications & Experience
Senior management or executive leadership experience in trading, supply chain, or materials-related industries
Strong understanding of B2B operations, procurement, and commercial negotiations
Proven ability to manage people, finances, and operations in an SME environment
