Civil Product & Development Engineer (Lab)

Our client is a leading German multinational company specializing in the production of building chemical products and technologies.

Job Description

• Evaluate and source starting materials.
• Modify existing products to meet new requirements.
• Develop new products based on market research.
• Oversee the product development cycle.
• Support pilot batches, product launches, and field trials.
• Review and compare prices and technical specifications.
• Manage daily lab activities and ensure compliance.
• Maintain lab equipment and safety standards.
• Optimize product performance through formula and process changes.
• Address defective batches and extend raw material shelf life.
• Perform QA/QC for raw materials and finished products.
• Handle customer complaints and feedback.
• Plan and update projects, aligning with stakeholders.
• Document material and product information.
• Produce organized project reports.
• Stay informed about market trends in the construction chemical industry.
• Suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in the construction/civil engineering industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ITE/Engineering Diploma in Civil or Chemical Engineering 
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Valid Class 3 driving license is a plus
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Knowledge of QA/QC processes and standards.
• Understanding of industry regulations and EHS standards.
• Effective project management skills.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
• Awareness of market trends and developments.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP) is an additional advantage.
• Internships and projects in relevant fields.
