Claims Analyst

As part of the Claims team in Singapore, you will join a team of talented and welcoming colleagues. Based in our Singapore office, you will work closely with Chartering, Operations, Finance, and Legal teams while supporting our global commercial activities.

Reporting to the Head of Freight & Claims, Singapore, you will be responsible for managing voyage-related claims, maximizing recoveries, reducing financial exposure, and protecting the Company’s contractual rights. You will play a key role in driving timely claim resolution and supporting the commercial performance of the business.

Key Responsibilities

● Review and process demurrage, freight, miscellaneous revenue claims, and rebill invoices through IMOS and external stakeholders.

● Validate information received from Vessel Operations, Chartering, and Agents to ensure accurate claim calculations and invoicing in accordance with charter party terms.

● Prepare, submit, negotiate, and settle voyage-related claims, including demurrage, freight, detention, and other contractual claims.

● Proactively manage outstanding receivables and claim exposure, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.

● Engage directly with charterers, brokers, and counterparties to negotiate settlements and maximize recoveries.

● Maintain accurate claim records and provide regular reporting on claim status, recoveries, and exposure.

● Work closely with Operations, Chartering, and Legal teams to resolve disputes and support commercial decision-making.

What We Are Looking For

● Experience in shipping claims, demurrage within the tanker or shipping industry.

● Strong understanding of charter parties, voyage calculations, and commercial claims management.

● Experience with IMOS and related shipping systems is preferred.

● Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex commercial discussions.

● Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple claims simultaneously, and meet

deadlines.

● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with both internal and external counterparts.
