Job Title: Full-Time Cleaner at Arctic Fitness Gym
Job Description:
Arctic Fitness Gym is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Cleaner. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our fitness facility to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our members and staff. The cleaner will work to keep the gym in pristine condition, performing various cleaning duties throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks as outlined by the gym's cleaning checklist, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize gym equipment, free weights, and machines after use to prevent the spread of germs.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the gym including the workout floor, group fitness rooms, locker rooms, showers, restrooms, and common areas.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, in locker rooms and bathrooms as needed.
- Dispose of trash and recyclables from bins throughout the gym in a timely and hygienic manner.
- Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly to management.
- Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are well-stocked and stored in a safe and organized manner.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company cleaning protocols.
- Perform deep-cleaning tasks on a scheduled basis or as directed by management.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a positive and professional environment.
- Handle special cleaning projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a gym or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and proper handling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition and stamina to perform physical tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work during non-peak gym hours, which may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
