CLEANING SUPERVISOR

Job Description:

We are seeking a responsible and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations and ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across assigned sites. The successful candidate will supervise cleaning staff, coordinate work schedules, inspect completed work, and ensure compliance with company and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning personnel.
• Plan work schedules and allocate manpower efficiently.
• Inspect work areas to ensure cleaning standards are consistently achieved.
• Train, guide, and evaluate cleaning staff on proper cleaning procedures and safety practices.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of cleaning employees.
• Ensure adequate stock of cleaning chemicals, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Liaise with clients to address service requests, complaints, and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new cleaning staff.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requirements when necessary.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

Job Requirements:

Diploma, NITEC, or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in cleaning operations or facilities management, with supervisory experience preferred.

Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and industry best practices.

Familiarity with workplace safety and hygiene standards.

Ability to manage multiple sites and supervise a team effectively.

Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, and email) is an advantage.

Able to work independently under pressure and meet operational deadlines.

Willing to work weekends, public holidays, or shifts when required.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily cleaning operations across assigned sites

Manage and lead a team of cleaning staffs, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation

Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations

Liaise with clients to understand requirements, address concerns, and ensure service satisfaction

Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders when necessary

Handle staffing requirements including hiring, onboarding, and resolving disciplinary matters

Prepare reports on cleaning performance, incidents, and staff productivity

Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Respond promptly to emergency cleaning situations or urgent client requests

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor, Operations Manager, or similar role

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and health/safety standards

Basic computer skills (MS Office, scheduling tools, etc.)

Able to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays when necessary

Possession of a valid driver’s license
