Job Overview

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, your primary responsibility is to collaborate closely with sales teams and customers to understand their objectives, technical requirements, and desired outcomes. You will lead pre-sales engagements, conducting discovery workshops to delve into both the business and technical aspects of customer needs. Your focus will extend beyond individual products to crafting comprehensive, end-to-end solutions that align with business objectives and IT goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Working in partnership with the sales teams, lead the pre-sales engagement with customers to understand desired customer outcomes, technical objectives, and services requirements.
• Lead discovery workshops with customers to understand their business and technical drivers including application onboarding discovery of deployment-ready application workloads.
• Think past individual products and to design high level end-to-end solutions to meet the business outcomes and IT objectives, create end to end solutions to meet the business outcomes.
• Ensure that proposals, solution designs and Statements Of Work are technically sound and competitive.
• Provide Architecture Design, review and guidance for Public Cloud application including; monitoring, management, disaster recovery, security compliance/auditing, networking, storage, service brokers and build packs.
• Work with internal stakeholders to define its overall technology strategy and create a roadmap for implementing new solutions.
• Analyze business requirements and identify areas where technology can be used to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Assess available technologies and recommend the best options for meeting customers’ requirements.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal resources for the implementation of new solutions. To work with development teams to ensure that the solutions are built and implemented in a timely and effective manner.
• Optimize its technology investments to reduce costs.
• Assess the total cost of ownership for different technology solutions and recommend options that provide the best return on investment.

Job Requirements

• 4+ year experience in Public Cloud architecture, design and implementation of critical applications.
• 3+ years IaaS experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Pre-sales Consulting experience, including time supporting sales and liaising with technical practices and delivery will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of Linux / Unix / Windows systems
• Good knowledge of networking and related technologies (e.g. load balancing / DNS / SSL / firewalls / NAT)
• Experience with production systems and dealing with production issues
• A clear understanding of cloud service and deployment models
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal) in English
• Team player but capable of working independently where required
• Having experience to work on large scale projects
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure required
• Certified AWS Solution Architect or Azure Solution Architect will be an added advantage
