- Responsible for taking food orders
- Serving food and drinks to the Members and their guests
- Looking after the Member and their guests throughout their visit.
- To always greets guests in a professional, efficient & timely manner
- To display the correct menu knowledge at all times, including information about all dietary, allergen requirements
- To keep up to date with all service standards in the club and to follow company standards of procedures at all times.
- To train and motivate the junior service team (commis waiters, floor assistants)
- To build a professional rapport with the members and work with the management team to keep up to date on member knowledge
- Display the correct skills to upsell food/beverage without coming across in an overwhelming manner
- Responsible for issuing bills, collecting payments & cash handling (change from payments)
- Using the POS system with full knowledge of the system and its capabilities
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by manager
- Filling in for absent staff as and when required
- Co – ordinates well with the commis waiters, floor assistants, kitchen staff, sommeliers and managers to ensure a smooth service is always delivered
- Observations of guests to always meet expectations
- Promptly responds to guest with any additional requests
- Adhere to all grooming and appearance standards set by 67 Pall Mall
- Understanding of 67 Pall Mall as a business and the services it provides
- Maintaining of stock levels
- Works closely with the host/hostess to assign tables to waitstaff in addition to waiting on their own tables
- Trains new waitstaff on food & service techniques and ensures the whole team has the correct level of food and service knowledge
- Ensures all daily operating procedures are completed to the correct standard
- Meets with kitchen staff and management to discuss the menu and specials and reviews all ingredients
- Ensures the allergens sheet is up to date and the team are aware of any changes/updates
- Overlook’s the whole service not just their station
- Organises the briefing sheet for the day, staff breaks and training sessions during the briefing
- Deals with any minor complaints on the floor and reports them to the management team seeking advice when needed
- Works closely with the FOH Managers to further their own skills into management level
