CNC Programmer

Job Title: CNC Programmer

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents for machining operations.
  

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using software such as CAM, Mastercam, or similar.
  

• Select appropriate tools, cutting parameters, and fixtures based on the job requirements.
  

• Simulate and test programs to ensure functionality and prevent machine crashes or part errors.
  

• Collaborate with machine operators and production teams to validate and refine programs on the shop floor.
  

• Troubleshoot programming issues and perform revisions as needed for quality and efficiency.
  

• Ensure all CNC programs adhere to industry standards and safety regulations.
  

• Maintain records of programs, revisions, tool lists, and setup sheets.
  

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machining time and reduce waste.
  

Essential Qualifications:

• Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  

• Proven experience (2+ years) in CNC programming for machines such as VMC, HMC, or CNC Lathe.
  

• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and G-code/M-code programming.
  

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidCAM, or Fusion 360.
  

• Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and NC code.
  

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
  

• Experience with tool selection, speeds & feeds optimization, and setup planning.
  

• Hands-on experience with CNC machine operation and troubleshooting.
  

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality standards is an advantage.
  

• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
