Commodities Derivatives Trader

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage commodity derivative trades across selected commodities markets, with a focus on maximizing profit and managing risk.
• Analyse market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical factors to make informed trading decisions and develop effective trading strategies.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk allocation and management, ensuring compliance with the firm's risk parameters and guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with the research and analytics teams to identify and capitalize on trading opportunities within the commodity derivatives market.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market regulations and industry best practices, adhering to compliance standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years trading experience in a financial / derivatives trading role
• Successful PnL track record
• Demonstrable repeatable investment process
• Strong understanding in the fundamentals of the associated markets
• Able to articulate trade ideas / overall strategy in a considered manner
• Highly numerical, preferably with some basic ideas in statistics and probabilities.
• Self-disciplined, highly motivated and proactive.
