Job Description - Community Development Assistant

As a Community Engagement (Content) Manager, you will contribute across two key areas Content Creation and Community Engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Content

  • Create and optimise content for the Developer Portal to support community engagement.

  • Draft digital publications and thought leadership articles for internal and international audiences.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging narratives for audiences like government leaders, product managers, engineers, and public officers.

  • Apply SEO best practices and tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Ahrefs) to create SEO-friendly content.

  • Plan and execute content strategies across digital channels.

  • Develop content templates and improve layout formats for readability.

  • Collaborate with product teams, designers, and marketing for content creation.

  • Stay up to date with tech trends and continuously propose fresh content ideas.

  • Receptive to feedback and able to make quick content revisions.

Engagement

  • Support and independently run Developer Community events, including logistics and marketing.

  • Manage stakeholders to co-curate community content.

  • Craft promotional materials for channels such as social media and eDMs.

  • Maintain and analyse the Developer Community membership database.

  • Contribute to other community initiatives beyond events.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Communications, or related field.

  • 12 years of relevant experience in tech or related industries.

  • Strong writing, communication, and content strategy skills.

  • Familiar with SEO tools and website performance measurement (e.g. Google Search Console).

  • Able to grasp technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly content.

  • Experience in event planning/logistics and basic AV setup.

  • Proficient in Excel; basic knowledge of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, photo/video editing tools.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with the development process and producing SEO/performance reports.

  • Experience conducting interviews for user feedback.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).

  • AV and editing software skills (bonus).

Duration:

12 months contract (SEp 2025)

42 hours per week
